This Sunday, Assistant Pastor Bill Treadway brought the Word from 2 Chronicles 7:14, and Pastor Joel Stallings brought it home with a closing word.

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)

God didn't say, "If the world..." He said, "If My people." Healing for our land doesn't start in Washington or on the news. It starts with those who are called by His name: in our homes, in our church, and in our own hearts.

Four Things God Asks of His People

  • Humble yourselves. Pride says, "I've got this." Humility says, "Lord, I need You."
  • Pray. Not just at meals or in a crisis, but as a daily conversation with your Father.
  • Seek His face. Don't just seek His hand for what He can give. Seek Him for who He is.
  • Turn from wicked ways. Real repentance doesn't just feel sorry. It changes direction.

Then comes the promise: God will hear, God will forgive, and God will heal.

Watch for the Signs of His Return

Jesus told us to stay ready:

"Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come." (Matthew 24:42)

The signs are all around us. This isn't a time for fear. It's a time to look up:

"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." (Luke 21:28)

A humble, praying, seeking people will be a ready people.

As a Man Thinketh

"For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he." (Proverbs 23:7)

Revival starts in the mind. If you think defeat, you'll live defeated. If you fill your heart with the Word of God, you'll think like Heaven and live ready for His return. Let what you think about line up with what God says, and watch the seed He put in you leap.

This Week

Take 2 Chronicles 7:14 into your prayer time every day. Ask God to show you one area to humble, one thing to turn from, and one way to seek His face more.

Join us Sundays at 9:30 AM at Indian Trail Town Hall. We'd love to worship with you.
